We are the oldest established off-road racing club in Western Australia, comprising of over 100 enthusiastic off-road endurance racing members. WAORRA originated in the ’70s when some of our founding members used to go dune racing in Lancelin. Now, we generally race on farming properties within a few hours’ drive from Perth, and the next generation/s of racers are building faster and stronger vehicles.

Off-road racing tests the competitors and their vehicles over different track conditions, consisting of anything from mud and creek crossings, gravel pits, open paddocks, tight bush tracks, long sandy straights, dusty corners and some very rough terrain sections. Most races are held over two days, with the lap distance varying from 10-15 km in length and totalling around 150km per race for short course events, and 25-50kms in length and totalling anywhere between 200kms to 500kms per race for long course events.

We organise three competitive racing events each year:

We also participate in other events hosted by other clubs and organise a charity ride day in February. See the 2016 event calendar for more information about each event.

Events are run under the governance of the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS) and all vehicles must comply with CAMS rules and regulations.
