Helpers Needed for the Mid-West Challenge

Track marking for the Cochrane’s Transport Mid-West Challenge will be held over the weekend of 5-6 August 2017. If you are free this weekend and own a pair of gloves, we’d appreciate some help!

We’ll meet at the track at around 8:30-9:00am Saturday 5 August. BYO gloves for working with droppers and wire. For those staying overnight, you will need to bring a swag or something to sleep in – you can camp at the track (no facilities), or stay at the Three Springs truck yard (dongers, hot showers, pub meal available). On the Sunday, we’ll start early with the aim to be finished by around 1:00pm.

Many hands will make this job much easier (and competitors – you get the added advantage of getting a good look at this brand new track before anyone else!).

The property is located 295km north of Perth – mobile phone coverage in the area is not great, so we advise you to download and print the map and directions. Cheap fuel is available at the Cataby North Roadhouse.

If you are able to come along and help out, even if it’s just for one day, please contact Russ Cullen on 0408 390 289 or via Facebook.

We also need a volunteer to tow the timing trailer up to the event. If you are able to pick it up from Oakford and take it up to the track on or before Friday 18 August, please contact Russ.
