New Venue Confirmed for R5 of the WAORC

We are pleased to announce we have secured a new venue for the weekend of 20-21 August 2016. Round 5 of the 2016 CAMS, PGS Industries Western Australian Off-Road Racing Championship will now be:

The 2016 WAORRA Badgingarra 250.

The event will be held on the Birrawong property, approx. 230km from Perth (roughly 30km north of Badgingarra on the Brand Highway.

The track will be a mix of farm tracks, paddock runs, with some rocky areas and a few sandy areas. If you were hoping for a mud-free August race you’ve got it – water and mud will not be an issue at this location.

We are planning a seven lap race of the 36 kilometre track, with recon, prologue and two laps Saturday. Sunday will see one section of three laps followed by a section of two laps.   We aim to finish the race and start presentations around 3pm.

Spectator viewing promises to be quite good with excellent views of the start/finish line.

The property is an operating stock property with a mixture of cattle and sheep. There are no crops, however as it is a stock farm there will be NO DOGS ALLOWED. There will be absolutely no exceptions to this – if you bring a dog, you will be asked to take it home instantly.

Camping will be available from Friday lunch time. Limited facilities (toilets only, no showers) will be available. A coffee van will be at the event with some limited food options. Unfortunately we have not been able to secure a caterer so it’s BYO at this stage.

Supplementary regulations are currently being finalised and will contain event information in full. They will be released as soon as possible so keep an eye on our website and Facebook page for the latest updates.
